Atrys Chile and Universidad Mayor sign strategic agreement to promote digital health and academic innovation

Atrys Chile and the Universidad Mayor, one of the most innovative private universities in the country, have formalized a Framework Collaboration Agreement, a strategic alliance that seeks to develop joint projects in digital health, research, academic training and health impact assessment.

The agreement, the first between Atrys and a Chilean university, was celebrated at an institutional event attended by the Rector of Universidad Mayor, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, academic authorities and the management team of Atrys Chile.

The agreement includes five strategic axes: the design of hybrid healthcare models with technologies such as AI and telemedicine; collaborative teaching and research programs; development of virtual clinical fields; evaluation of the healthcare impact of new medical solutions; and joint projects with the public healthcare network to resolve waiting lists. Noteworthy initiatives include the creation of a virtual clinical campus, the measurement of the health impact of Atrys’ services, the publication of Atrys’ innovative health experiences, and the participation in joint pilots to validate new initiatives.

This agreement reinforces Atrys’ commitment to quality care, innovation and the strengthening of the healthcare ecosystem in Chile. Santiago de Torres, non-executive chairman of Atrys, stated that “through this strategic collaboration, we will drive technological integration and generate innovations that will transform the healthcare system in Chile, achieving higher quality and more accessible healthcare at a national level”.

This new alliance joins a series of strategic collaborations that Atrys maintains with the academic world, such as the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia de Colombia (UNAD), and with leading institutions in Spain such as the Complutense, Autónoma de Madrid, Granada and Barcelona Universities. With the latter, we consolidated our relationship through the UB Atrys Chair of Radiation Oncology, which this year celebrates the IV edition of its prestigious Research Awards in Personalized Radiotherapy.

Atrys leads an alliance with AGFA, HP and Sonda to democratize access to cutting-edge medical technology in Chile

Atrys Chile has sealed a strategic alliance with AGFA HealthCare, HP and Sonda to transform access to medical imaging solutions in the Andean country. The proposal, presented on June 18 at an event held at the Club El Golf 50 in Santiago, introduces an innovative model based on fee-for-service, eliminating the need for large upfront investments and thus facilitating the incorporation of first-class technology to all types of healthcare centers.

The key to this collaboration lies in offering a comprehensive solution: a state-of-the-art PACS platform (AGFA), operated on HP’s technological infrastructure, with support managed by Sonda, and integrated with Atrys’ medical reporting services. All this under an operational model (OPEX), with no installation or licensing costs, which allows hospitals, clinics and primary care centers to access a complete, scalable service adapted to their budgetary possibilities.

During the launching event, representatives of the public and private sectors highlighted the relevance of this initiative for advancing health equity. The mayor of Huechuraba, Maximiliano Luksic, especially valued its impact on the primary care level, while Dr. María José Letelier, director of the Ministry of Health’s Digital Hospital, underlined how technology, properly applied, can improve efficiency and place the patient at the center of the system. Jorge Herrera, head of technology at the Ministry, endorsed the proposal as a clear example of effective public-private collaboration.

From a strategic point of view, this alliance allows Atrys to reinforce its position as a clinical integrator of reference, capable of leading complex solutions. In this sense, Juan Mella, country manager of Atrys Chile states that “with this proposal, Atrys advances in its commitment to improve the quality of care and reduce the existing inequalities in the country in the access to diagnostic services, contributing to solve structural challenges such as waiting lists or the technological gap between territories”.

Atrys Brazil obtains the Great Place to Work certification

Atrys Brazil has been recognized as one of the best companies to work for after receiving the prestigious Great Place to Work (GPTW) certification, one of the most valued international awards in the field of organizational culture.

This achievement reinforces the company’s commitment to people and confirms the positive impact of a culture based on collaboration, active listening and human development.

Tiago da Costa Vieira, CEO of Atrys Brazil, proudly highlights some of the data that enabled Atrys to receive this certification, “more than 90% of Atrys Brazil’s workforce is proud to be part of the company, and 96% say that Atrys promotes an inclusive and fair environment. This recognition symbolizes what we have been building together in practice: a culture that is lively, collaborative and consistent with our day-to-day work”.

For her part, Leide Gomes, People area manager at Atrys Brazil, says, “This certification confirms that every action, every detail we have taken care of over all these years makes sense. It shows that when we focus on people, with genuine attention and respect, results come naturally. GPTW is not a destination, it is confirmation that we are on the right path.”

Both the general director and the People area manager of Atrys Brazil highlight teamwork, process simplification and strategic alignment as essential actions for this achievement.

In this sense, they state that one of the pillars of this transformation has been the promotion of a more authentic and purposeful internal communication. Initiatives such as RH+ Participativo, launched in 2023, marked a before and after by opening real and constant spaces for dialogue, where teams and leadership could listen to each other, connect and build together. “More than an information channel, communication became a bridge that brought visions closer, aligned expectations and strengthened bonds” states Da Costa.

The GPTW certification reflects the collective effort and is a sign of Atrys’ commitment to creating more humane and enriching work environments for its employees.

Atrys reaffirms its leadership among healthcare companies with best sustainability performance

  • Atrys has obtained a rating of 73 out of 100, placing it in the 98th percentile of its sector and positioning it among the leading companies within the healthcare services industry in the Clarity AI rating.
  • Atrys has joined the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative this year, demonstrating a serious and measurable commitment to the fight against climate change.
  • Thanks to the business model of Atrys, specialized in telemedicine, more than 17,000 tons of carbon dioxide have been avoided, which is equivalent to the annual emissions captured by approximately 800,000 trees per year.

Atrys Health, a global healthtech company that provides prevention, diagnosis and precision medical treatment services, leader in telemedicine and oncology treatment, has once again met its objectives set out in its sustainability plan Atrys Go Plan, which include reducing emissions by 41% cumulatively until 2028 in its scopes 1 and 2, as detailed in its Sustainability Report 2024.

On the social front, Atrys invested more than 48,500 hours in training for its employees and has continued to promote gender equality: it currently has 40% women on the Board and a workforce where 63% are women. A factor that has allowed Atrys to remain part of the IBEX Gender-Equality Index in 2024, an index that validates transparency and excellence in the company’s performance in terms of gender equality.

Thanks to Atrys’ business model, which specializes in telemedicine, more than 17,000 tons of carbon dioxide have been avoided, mainly by reducing travel. This figure is equivalent to the annual emissions captured by approximately 800,000 trees per year, according to data from the Arbor Day Foundation.

These results have enabled Atrys to rank among the healthcare companies with the best sustainability results in the world, according to the latest Clarity AI rating, a technology platform designed to analyze the social and environmental impact of global benchmark companies. Specifically, Atrys has obtained the highest rating since it entered the rating in 2022, with a rating of 73 out of 100, placing it in the 98th percentile against its sector peers and positioning it among the leading companies within the healthcare services industry. Atrys’ rating has improved significantly in recent years due to progress in the areas of governance and environment.

Clarity AI’s rating, which stands out for its methodological transparency, is based on the highest international standards such as SASB, GRI, TCFD and SFDR. Through artificial intelligence and massive data analysis, the tool processes information from multiple sources, such as corporate reports and financial data.

Atrys has also joined this year the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative, a global initiative developed by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), which encourages companies to set science-based greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets. In this regard, its mission is to ensure that companies’ climate actions are aligned with what the latest science indicates is necessary to limit global warming to 1.5°C, in line with the Paris Agreement. By joining SBTi, Atrys demonstrates a serious and measurable commitment to the fight against climate change.

“Technological transformation in our sector cannot be understood without a firm commitment to sustainability principles. Our model based on telemedicine, precision diagnostics and advanced prevention not only improves the quality of care, but also reduces emissions, optimizes resources and broadens access to healthcare. We are very proud of the milestones achieved in the last year, which reflect our commitment to our sustainability goals,” says Marian Isach, CEO of Atrys.

  • Following the succession plan, the Board of Directors of Atrys will propose the appointment of Marian Isach as an executive director of Atrys at the General Shareholders’ Meeting on 12 June 2025, prior to her appointment as CEO of the company.
  • The Succession Plan also propose the continuation of Santiago de Torres as Non-Executive Chairman, currently Executive Chairman, and Isabel Lozano, currently CEO, as Non-Executive Director, who will continue to contribute to the future expansion and growth of Atrys.
  • These changes are part of the succession and generational handover plan that was activated in March 2024 as a sign of the company’s firm commitment to the promotion of internal talent and the continuity of the leadership model.
  • Coinciding with the presentation of this plan, Atrys also announced its results for the first quarter of 2025, which show a growth of 11.2% in revenues to 57.2 million euros, driven by all its business areas.

Atrys, a global healthtech company providing precision prevention, diagnosis and treatment services and a leader in telemedicine and oncology treatment, today announced that its Board of Directors will propose the appointment of Marian Isach as an executive director of the company at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 12 June 2025. This step is prior to her appointment by the Board as the new CEO, replacing Isabel Lozano, the current CEO, who will continue in the company as a non-executive director.

Likewise, Santiago de Torres, until now executive chairman, will assume the position of non-executive chairman of the company. These changes are in line with the succession plan approved by the Board of Directors and will be ratified by the next General Shareholders’ Meeting.

The election of Marian Isach, currently managing director of the Oncology division, is part of the succession and generational handover plan that Atrys launched in March 2024, and reflects the company’s commitment to promoting internal talent. Over the past few months, the future CEO has worked closely with Isabel Lozano, focusing on the orderly handover of functions. Both Santiago de Torres and Isabel Lozano will remain linked to the company, contributing with their experience and strategic vision.

Marian Isach, future CEO, says: ‘I am grateful for the trust placed in me. Atrys has established itself as a global benchmark in prevention, telemedicine and precision medicine and my commitment is to continue promoting its development plan and to continue the excellent work that has been carried out in recent years, working with the Board of Directors and the excellent team of the company, anticipating the future challenges of the health sector’.

For her part, Isabel Lozano points out that ‘this generational handover is part of a planned and natural process; in this new phase, in which I will continue to support Atrys from its Board of Directors, Marian will contribute with her management skills and her deep knowledge of the business to drive the growth of Atrys’.

Santiago de Torres, who will take over as non-executive chairman from 12 June, believes that ‘this succession plan is a reflection of Atrys’ success and its strong commitment to internal talent. Marian has the vision, experience and leadership to drive the next phase of the company’s growth. I will continue to be fully involved in the direction and development of the company’s business.

The Board of Directors thanked Santiago de Torres and Isabel Lozano for ‘their invaluable contribution as co-founders and executive directors of Atrys, their dedication and hard work, which have been key to the growth of Atrys and the consolidation of the company’s fundamentals to its current leading position in the healthcare sector in Spain and Latin America’.

The change in executive management reinforces best governance practices and the commitment to diversity. The new configuration of the board allows progress to be made in complying with good governance recommendations, with a clear separation between executive and non-executive functions.

This changeover also guarantees the continuity of the company’s expansion plan, which has consolidated its position as a global leader in telemedicine in Spanish-speaking countries, being a pioneer in high-precision oncological radiotherapy in Europe and positioning itself as the fourth company in terms of market share in occupational risk prevention in Spain. Since 2018, the company has made 17 acquisitions, expanded its presence to seven countries and reached a workforce of 2,000 professionals, achieving sustained and stable growth. In 2024, Atrys increased its turnover by 5.4%, reaching revenues of €212.7 million, and increased its adjusted EBITDA by 13.8% to €48.5M.

Atrys continues to grow, increasing turnover by 11.2% in the first quarter of 2025

Atrys also presented its results for the first quarter of 2025, with turnover totalling 57.2 million euros, 11.2% more than in the first quarter of 2024, resuming double-digit revenue growth.

This growth was reflected in all its business areas, with special dynamism in Oncology (+16.8%) and Diagnostics (+16.6%), followed by Prevention (+3.5%).

Gross margin reached 36.1 million euros (+3.5%) and EBITDA amounted to 8.4 million euros, up 6.9% year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA reached €9.2m, compared to €9.1m in Q1 2024 and operating cash flow amounted to €6.4m (+29.8%).

Marian Isach holds a degree in Economics from CEU San Pablo University and a Master’s degree from ESADE. She joined Atrys in 2022, as part of the acquisition by Atrys of Bienzobas, a company specialising in oncology treatment, which she led as CEO. Her strategic vision led her to assume the general management of Atrys’ Oncology division, from where she developed the business plan and contributed to the deployment of the company’s international oncology strategy.

Prior to joining Atrys, she held senior management positions in companies in the sector such as GenesisCare and Affidea, leading transformation and expansion processes. ASPY integrates the calculation of the carbon footprint as a preventive tool in occupational health

  • This strategic solution is aligned with the recent Royal Decree 2014/2025, making ASPY one of the first companies specializing in ORP to integrate the calculation of the carbon footprint in the prevention of occupational risks.
  • The new service is based on the One Health approach, promoted by the WHO and the Ministry of Health, which recognizes the interdependence between the health of the planet and the health of people, offering a comprehensive response to the various risk factors caused by climate change.

ASPY, a company specializing in occupational risk prevention and advice on occupational health and safety belonging to the Atrys group, has integrated the calculation of the carbon footprint as a preventive tool among its Consulting products. This advance consolidates its leadership in occupational risk prevention, positioning it at the forefront of solutions for healthy and sustainable work environments in the face of climate change risks, and makes it a pioneering ORP company in the integration of the carbon footprint in the assessment of risks to the well-being of workers.

ASPY’s new strategic solution is aligned with the recent Royal Decree 214/2025, which establishes the creation of a national registry of carbon footprint, offsetting and CO2 absorption projects, to facilitate compliance with international commitments on climate change.

The integration of these magnitudes is inspired by the One Health approach, a perspective promoted by the WHO and adopted by the Ministry of Health, which recognizes the interdependence between the health of the planet and that of people, offering a comprehensive response to the various risk factors caused by climate change: thermal stress, respiratory diseases, increased accidents due to extreme conditions and alterations in work rhythms linked to extreme weather phenomena. In this way, this new service seeks to anticipate and adapt work environments to these new risks, integrating ORP into business sustainability.

“Reducing emissions is not only an environmental decision, but a preventive strategy backed by scientific evidence. Our proposal combines regulatory compliance, applied science and sustainable transformation to help companies measure, manage and transform their emissions into preventive decisions that have a positive impact on the well-being of both their workers and the environment,” says Javier Colino, Technical Prevention Director for ASPY’s Northern Region.

This new service not only generates a positive impact on the health of workers and the planet, but also offers tangible benefits for companies: it significantly reduces operating costs – estimating a reduction of close to 19% in energy consumption during the first year -, improves competitiveness and reputation – with an average increase of 27 points in corporate sustainability indexes -, increases the chances of success in public tenders – where 76% value positively the verified carbon footprint – and facilitates access to cheaper green financing, with an average reduction of 0.4% in interest rates.

This service has undergone an internal compliance audit in accordance with Directive (EU) 2024/825 on combating greenwashing, obtaining the declaration of regulatory and communicational compliance, which guarantees that its sustainability analyses are verifiable, measurable and based on real data. This tool is also approved by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO) and complies with international methodologies such as the GHG Protocol or ISO 14064.

With a vision of the future, the technical management of ASPY Prevención works on research and development projects that combine new technologies, health care and sustainability, applied from a PRL perspective.

To present this new solution, the company will hold an open and free webinar on May 8 at 12:00 Spanish time. Javier Colino, Technical Prevention Manager for the Northern Region, will explain in detail the implications of the new regulations at national and regional level, and how ASPY can guide companies to apply them effectively. It is already possible to register for the session through this link.

  • The company reduced its negative consolidated result by 31%, which at year-end stood at -31.7M€.

Atrys, a global healthtech company providing precision medical prevention, diagnosis and treatment services, leader in telemedicine and oncology treatment, has announced its results for the 2024 financial year, which reflect organic growth with revenue reaching 212.7 million euros, 5.5% more than in 2023 (7.2% at constant exchange rates), and adjusted EBITDA continuing to grow significantly (13.8%), reaching 48.5 million euros.

Gross margin increased by 2% to 140 million euros, while adjusted operating cash flow grew by 20.1% to 35.3 million euros.

Gross debt for the year is reduced by 4.3% to €191M, and the leverage ratio (net financial debt to EBITDA) is reduced from 3.6x to 3.29x in FY2024.

Santiago de Torres, CEO of Atrys, said, “These results reflect the strength and efficiency of our business model. All of our business lines are performing well in both revenue and EBITDA, demonstrating our ability to generate value in a sustained and profitable manner. Improved EBITDA and reduced leverage provide us with a solid foundation to confidently implement our long-term growth and consolidation strategy”.

Growth in all business areas

Atrys continues to strengthen its growth in its business lines – prevention, diagnostics and oncology – both in Spain and Latin America. Specifically, the company’s turnover in the Spanish market grew by 4% to 156 million euros. In Portugal, turnover amounted to 15 million euros, 7% more than in 2023. Finally, Atrys’ Oncology division led growth with €63M in revenues, up 9.5% on the same period last year, driven mainly by activity in Mexico.

Atrys Chile and Interclínica launch a new telemedicine-based care model to reduce stroke response time

  • The new model seeks to alleviate the lack of specialized neurologists in remote regions in Chile, connecting Atrys specialists with Interclinica treating physicians in real time, allowing for a more accurate assessment and timely treatment for patients in the Interclinica Network.

Atrys Health, a global healthtech company that provides prevention, diagnosis and precision medical treatment services, pioneer in telemedicine and oncology treatment, has signed, through its subsidiary Atrys Chile, a collaboration agreement with Interclínica, a network of clinics in Chile, to continue advancing innovative solutions that democratize access to healthcare. The two companies will work together to launch Tele-Stroke, a telemedicine system designed for the real-time diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular accidents (CVA). The tool improves access and speed in patient care by reducing diagnosis and intervention times, which is key to minimizing damage in these cases.

The new service connects specialists with patients in remote locations in Chile and employs technological tools, such as videoconferencing, shared medical imaging systems or digital platforms for remote diagnosis, all supported by a team of specialist physicians. This advance in emergency neurological care will make it possible to treat thousands of patients.

According to Dr. Leonardo Reyes, medical director of Interclinica, “strokes are one of the main causes of death and disability in the country, and their timely treatment is essential to minimize neurological damage”. However, “the lack of specialized neurologists in remote regions hinders adequate care. With Tele-stroke, medical centers without on-site neurologists will be able to connect with experts in real time, enabling accurate assessment and immediate therapeutic decisions,” adds the medical director.

Through this telemedicine solution, when a patient with suspected stroke arrives at a center without a neurologist, the emergency physician can share images with a remote neuro-radiologist and conduct a videoconference with specialist physicians. The experts collaborate in the interpretation of the images, dialogue with the emergency physician and the patient, and provide real-time guidance to improve diagnosis and treatment.

“Tele-stroke doesn’t just represent a medical tool. It is a bridge that connects technology with patients at a time as vital as a stroke. Every life saved and every patient recovered reinforces the importance of investing in innovation to democratize access to healthcare. This system will allow early attention to more patients, reduce long-term disability rates and optimize resources to avoid unnecessary transfers, saving time for patients,” says Dr. Sergio Hott, general medical director of Atrys Chile.

ASPY, a company of the Atrys group, promotes health prevention in companies with a new genetic analysis service.

  • The new service offers employees the possibility of knowing their genetic predisposition to certain diseases, in order to encourage early detection of various pathologies and promote healthy lifestyle habits
  • Among the tests available in this first phase are the Hereditary Thrombophilia test, the General Cardiovascular Risk test, the Type 2 Diabetes test and the Nutrition and Wellness test
  • The service, designed for companies that prioritize the promotion of the health and well-being of their employees, is backed by the extensive experience of the Atrys Genetics Laboratory, equipped with the latest sequencing techniques

Madrid, February 20, 2025 – ASPY, a company specialized in occupational risk prevention and occupational health and safety consultancy, belonging to the Atrys group, continues to grow with the aim of promoting preventive medicine services in the corporate environment. Under the commitment to support companies in improving the quality of life and well-being of their employees, it expands its services with a new line of preventive genetic analysis for workers. These studies allow the identification of possible risk factors and the early detection of diseases, facilitating medical follow-up and the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits.

The service, designed for companies that prioritize the promotion of the health and well-being of their employees, is backed by the extensive experience of the Atrys Genetics Laboratory, equipped with the latest sequencing techniques. This Unit has a complete catalog of genetic tests that it performs under the highest quality standards to advance its commitment to precision medicine and preventive medicine.

In this regard, Alfonso Alba, Vice President of Genetics at Atrys, states that “genetics has radically transformed the way we diagnose, treat and predict disease. Next-generation sequencing, together with computational analysis through AI, allows us to access detailed genetic information on our patients, which helps us to identify the underlying causes of many diseases with great precision and to determine personalized therapies.”

Thanks to this new service, ASPY makes available to working people, through their companies, an essential tool to detect risk factors inherent to their genetic inheritance, with the aim of identifying signs related to various pathologies, driving a proactive approach towards prevention and health care.

According to Pau Calvet, head of New Lines of ASPY Prevención, “we are committed to the integral health of working people. This new preventive health service, based on the detection of risk factors of genetic origin, offers companies an innovative tool for the care of their teams. A healthy and conscious work environment benefits both employees and the reduction of absenteeism and the healthy aging of the workforce. This service is an investment, not only in the future but also in the present of organizations, promoting a culture of care and proactive prevention”.

Preventive medicine within the reach of all employees: four types of studies through blood or saliva tests

The initiative is aimed at all those employees interested in maintaining a good state of health, with special focus on those workers who present clinical risk factors or habits that increase their vulnerability, employees already diagnosed with some pathology or people with a family history.

During the first months of activity, the new service will have four genetic studies; it will also offer two alternatives for taking samples, by blood extraction or saliva self-sampling, adapting to the preferences and needs of each company and employee. This first group of genetic tests includes:

  • Hereditary thrombophilia test: identifies genetic predisposition to alterations in blood coagulation.
  • General Cardiovascular Risk Test: evaluates genetic predisposition to heart disease.
  • Type 2 Diabetes Test: detects genetic factors associated with the development of this metabolic disease.
  • Nutrition and Wellness Test: analyzes how genetics can influence nutrient absorption and metabolism.

These analyses, whose results are governed by the strictest confidentiality standards, will provide employees with the information they need to take proactive measures to improve their lifestyle and state of health. In addition, the individual will be able to contact an ASPY doctor, who will help interpret the results and, if necessary, recommend a specialist doctor for diagnosis and clinical follow-up.

The service covers everything necessary to ensure an effective and personalized experience, including sampling material, laboratory analysis using advanced technology, secure downloading of results and personalized attention to resolve any doubts about the results.

Throughout the year, the company expects to continue expanding its portfolio of genetic services with new tests marketable to both companies and private users.
