  • Thanks to the business model of Atrys, specialized in telemedicine, more than 17,000 tons of carbon dioxide have been avoided, which is equivalent to the annual emissions captured by approximately 800,000 trees per year.

Atrys Health, a global healthtech company that provides prevention, diagnosis and precision medical treatment services, leader in telemedicine and oncology treatment, has once again met its objectives set out in its sustainability plan Atrys Go Plan, which include reducing emissions by 41% cumulatively until 2028 in its scopes 1 and 2, as detailed in its Sustainability Report 2024.

On the social front, Atrys invested more than 48,500 hours in training for its employees and has continued to promote gender equality: it currently has 40% women on the Board and a workforce where 63% are women. A factor that has allowed Atrys to remain part of the IBEX Gender-Equality Index in 2024, an index that validates transparency and excellence in the company’s performance in terms of gender equality.

Thanks to Atrys’ business model, which specializes in telemedicine, more than 17,000 tons of carbon dioxide have been avoided, mainly by reducing travel. This figure is equivalent to the annual emissions captured by approximately 800,000 trees per year, according to data from the Arbor Day Foundation.

These results have enabled Atrys to rank among the healthcare companies with the best sustainability results in the world, according to the latest Clarity AI rating, a technology platform designed to analyze the social and environmental impact of global benchmark companies. Specifically, Atrys has obtained the highest rating since it entered the rating in 2022, with a rating of 73 out of 100, placing it in the 98th percentile against its sector peers and positioning it among the leading companies within the healthcare services industry. Atrys’ rating has improved significantly in recent years due to progress in the areas of governance and environment.

Clarity AI’s rating, which stands out for its methodological transparency, is based on the highest international standards such as SASB, GRI, TCFD and SFDR. Through artificial intelligence and massive data analysis, the tool processes information from multiple sources, such as corporate reports and financial data.

Atrys has also joined this year the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative, a global initiative developed by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), which encourages companies to set science-based greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets. In this regard, its mission is to ensure that companies’ climate actions are aligned with what the latest science indicates is necessary to limit global warming to 1.5°C, in line with the Paris Agreement. By joining SBTi, Atrys demonstrates a serious and measurable commitment to the fight against climate change.

“Technological transformation in our sector cannot be understood without a firm commitment to sustainability principles. Our model based on telemedicine, precision diagnostics and advanced prevention not only improves the quality of care, but also reduces emissions, optimizes resources and broadens access to healthcare. We are very proud of the milestones achieved in the last year, which reflect our commitment to our sustainability goals,” says Marian Isach, CEO of Atrys.
