- This strategic solution is aligned with the recent Royal Decree 2014/2025, making ASPY one of the first companies specializing in ORP to integrate the calculation of the carbon footprint in the prevention of occupational risks.
- The new service is based on the One Health approach, promoted by the WHO and the Ministry of Health, which recognizes the interdependence between the health of the planet and the health of people, offering a comprehensive response to the various risk factors caused by climate change.
ASPY, a company specializing in occupational risk prevention and advice on occupational health and safety belonging to the Atrys group, has integrated the calculation of the carbon footprint as a preventive tool among its Consulting products. This advance consolidates its leadership in occupational risk prevention, positioning it at the forefront of solutions for healthy and sustainable work environments in the face of climate change risks, and makes it a pioneering ORP company in the integration of the carbon footprint in the assessment of risks to the well-being of workers.
ASPY’s new strategic solution is aligned with the recent Royal Decree 214/2025, which establishes the creation of a national registry of carbon footprint, offsetting and CO2 absorption projects, to facilitate compliance with international commitments on climate change.
The integration of these magnitudes is inspired by the One Health approach, a perspective promoted by the WHO and adopted by the Ministry of Health, which recognizes the interdependence between the health of the planet and that of people, offering a comprehensive response to the various risk factors caused by climate change: thermal stress, respiratory diseases, increased accidents due to extreme conditions and alterations in work rhythms linked to extreme weather phenomena. In this way, this new service seeks to anticipate and adapt work environments to these new risks, integrating ORP into business sustainability.
“Reducing emissions is not only an environmental decision, but a preventive strategy backed by scientific evidence. Our proposal combines regulatory compliance, applied science and sustainable transformation to help companies measure, manage and transform their emissions into preventive decisions that have a positive impact on the well-being of both their workers and the environment,” says Javier Colino, Technical Prevention Director for ASPY’s Northern Region.
This new service not only generates a positive impact on the health of workers and the planet, but also offers tangible benefits for companies: it significantly reduces operating costs – estimating a reduction of close to 19% in energy consumption during the first year -, improves competitiveness and reputation – with an average increase of 27 points in corporate sustainability indexes -, increases the chances of success in public tenders – where 76% value positively the verified carbon footprint – and facilitates access to cheaper green financing, with an average reduction of 0.4% in interest rates.
This service has undergone an internal compliance audit in accordance with Directive (EU) 2024/825 on combating greenwashing, obtaining the declaration of regulatory and communicational compliance, which guarantees that its sustainability analyses are verifiable, measurable and based on real data. This tool is also approved by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO) and complies with international methodologies such as the GHG Protocol or ISO 14064.
With a vision of the future, the technical management of ASPY Prevención works on research and development projects that combine new technologies, health care and sustainability, applied from a PRL perspective.
To present this new solution, the company will hold an open and free webinar on May 8 at 12:00 Spanish time. Javier Colino, Technical Prevention Manager for the Northern Region, will explain in detail the implications of the new regulations at national and regional level, and how ASPY can guide companies to apply them effectively.
