Neurorescate

An artificial intelligence platform for the early detection of strokes in emergency situations

Many strokes are initially unnoticed and only detected when symptoms and brain damage are more severe, often preventing treatment. The Neuro-Rescue project aims to increase early detection, when patients arrive at general emergency departments, thereby reducing the time to treatment in specialized stroke units. This could prevent disabilities or even save lives.

Major AI-assisted stroke diagnosis and identification technologies have focused on providing support in stroke units, but not on use in general emergency departments, where the initial screening of potential cases takes place.

The aim of the project is to deploy an AI-assisted diagnostic system capable of identifying and preventing strokes using NCCT images in any emergency department (public or private healthcare system, in both urban and rural areas).
