Atrys Health, a medical company specialising in telediagnostic, oncology, pathological anatomy and nuclear medicine services, and the University of Barcelona are opening the application process for participation in the 5th edition of the Personalised Radiotherapy Research Awards, linked to the UB Atrys Chair, created in 2021.
This award recognises the three best scientific articles published during 2025 in prestigious international journals in the field of radiation oncology and aims to recognise excellence and innovation in research, as well as to promote the dissemination of knowledge in a field that is essential for progress in cancer treatment. To be eligible, articles must be authored by Spanish research groups or research groups from other countries, provided that the first author is affiliated with a Spanish group.
The total amount allocated to these awards is €9,000, distributed as follows: a first prize of €5,000, a second prize of €3,000 and a third prize of €1,000. The entries will be evaluated by the Chair’s management on behalf of the University of Barcelona, the Chair’s deputy management on behalf of ATRYS, the president of the Spanish Society of Radiation Oncology (SEOR) and the management of the Institute for Research in Radiation Oncology (IRAD). The selected proposals will be notified to the rector, who will issue the decision on the awarding of prizes, which will be published on the University of Barcelona’s website. The awards ceremony will take place at the SEOR Symposium, to be held in Alicante from 3 to 5 June 2026, where the winning researchers will present their projects.
