Despite its high morbidity levels, only 15% of patients with back pain are diagnosed with a specific type of low back pain, a fact that has contributed to the more than 100% increase in cases of chronic low back pain (CLBP). This condition represents the leading cause of disability worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>The diagnostic evaluation of patients with back pain can be very challenging and requires complex clinical decision-making. One of the main challenges faced by specialists is to discover which of the potentially involved musculoskeletal structures is or are the source of the pain. This is a key factor in managing these patients and avoiding therapeutic errors.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"module module__detail\" >\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text\" >\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"number\" >5<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>out of every six people experience back pain in adulthood<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"bg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.atryshealth.com\/wp-content\/themes\/atrys\/assets\/img\/detailGrey.svg\" alt=\"detailGrey\" >\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/section> <!-- END INFO PROYECTO -->\n\n<section id=\"destacadoSimple\" class=\"section section__destacadoSimple blueColorBg\" > <!-- DESTACADO SIMPLE -->\r\n\t<div class=\"container\" >\r\n\t\t<div class=\"box box__text\" >\r\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"fs fs55 fw fw500 whiteColor alignCenter\" ><p>Only 15% of patients with back pain are diagnosed with a specific type of low back pain.<\/p>\n<\/h2>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/section> <!-- END DESTACADO SIMPLE -->\n\n\r\n<section id=\"infoMas\" class=\"section section__infoMas\" > <!-- INFOMAS PROYECTO -->\r\n\t<div class=\"container\" >\r\n\t\t<div class=\"box box__text\" >\r\n\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has become the imaging technique of choice for assessing spinal disorders, almost completely replacing CT in the routine study of degenerative disc disease, infections, trauma, neoplasms, and spinal cord disorders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The aim of this project is to incorporate artificial intelligence tools through the design of a convolutional neural network for the processing of magnetic resonance images for the cataloguing and grading of low back pain.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<div class=\"module\" >\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"box box__left\" >\r\n\t\t\t\t<h2>To achieve the objectives<\/h2>\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"data\" ><\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"data\" >2019-2022<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"box box__right\" >\r\n\t\t\t\t<p>To carry out the project, Atrys will collaborate with the VICOMTECH technology centre, an applied research centre integrated in the CERVERA centre network, specialised in the development and innovation in information technologies.
