R&D Projects

eHealth

Creation of eHealth spaces in hotels through the development of a telemedicine platform.

The main aim of the project is the creation of eHealth spaces in hotel establishments, through the design, adaptation, development, and implementation of a multi-specialty, modular, high-performance telemedicine platform with a redundant software and hardware architecture. The platform will support eHealth spaces, which will have initiatives focused on three areas: preventive medicine, care for the elderly or customers in need of health monitoring, and care for casual sportsmen and women.

This project promotes the development of innovative tourism products aimed at improving the competitiveness and profitability of the Spanish tourism sector. The project contributes to increasing tourism activity and its profitability, as it promotes the universality of medical care, making access to specialist doctors available to hotel and catering customers. It also creates quality jobs, as it offers a business opportunity for the private health sector. Lastly, the project aims to contribute to improving the international positioning of Spanish tourism, while promoting its diversification away from seasonal tourism.
