eDSalud. eDSalud: Platform for Multispecialty Telemedicine

Telemedicine allows patients easy access to medical specialties that, for economic or demographic reasons, may be limited. On the other hand, telemedicine is a solution for the reduction of response times in the diagnosis. Nowadays, there are various telediagnostic solutions in the market, focused on different specialities, especially in teleradiology. Moreover, there are an endless number of on-line individualized services for the patient (advice, follow-up, surveillance, etc.). However, it is not easy to find telediagnostic services with the direct participation of specialists that cover more than one medical specialty, allowing integration with different diagnostic equipment independently

The aim of this project is the design and experimental development of a multispecialty telemedicine platform, with a modular structure of high performance in all diagnostic services related to the medical specialties of Cardiology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and Radiology.

eDSalud aims to be the tool of interrelation between the different actors involved in the medical diagnosis - specialists, patients and health centers -, integrating all aspects of management, storage and standardization of clinical history and diagnosis.
