Atrys Health receives funding for an innovative R&D project in oncology diagnosis by liquid biopsy

• Atrys Health receives € 0.5M funding for the implementation of the MetaBreast project

• This new grant confirms Atrys Health's leadership in cancer diagnosis

Madrid, November 29th, 2016.- Atrys Health, a company specialized in diagnostic services and advanced cancer treatments, has received funding of € 481,538 for the development of a cancer research project on breast cancer, MetaBreast. 15% of the amount received corresponds to a non-refundable grant and the rest to a long-term loan and subsidized interest rate. This aid from the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of the Government of Spain, co-financed with FEDER funds, is within the framework of the State Program for R&D&i Challenges 2016.

The project, led by Atrys, will be carried out in collaboration with the Foundation for Biosanitary Research of Eastern Andalusia (FIBAO) and the MEDINA Foundation. The project has an expected duration of 4 years from 2016, and is directed by Dr. Pedro Sánchez Rovira, Head of Oncology Service of the Hospital Quirúrgico Hospital of Jaén.
