The area of anatomic pathology includes complete diagnostic pathology procedures from macroscopic and microscopic observation of biopsies or surgical specimens. Histochemical and immunohistochemical stains allow to identify and characterize tissue lesions and, in some cases, provide a prognosis. The wide tests directory includes specific in situ hybridization and molecular biology tests to determine genetic alterations present in cancer lesions, identifying prognostic factors and therapeutic targets.
An accurate and appropriate diagnosis depends directly on the level of experience of the pathologists and scientists involved in its emission. Our pathology services are provided through a network of consultants, including more than 15 pathologists. All consultants have recognized experience in diagnostic services and consultation of their subspecialty, with academic link and daily activity in reference hospitals.
